This series examines the sensations of isolation and insignificance that I experience at the coastline; an impression of standing at the edge of the infinite. Each Peripheral Visions composition is layered, structured around contrasting slices of earth, water and sky. Earth, the familiar reference point. Water, a passive barrier, presaging the endless beyond. The third layer, sky, simultaneously hints at and masks the presence of boundless space.
