The parameters of the Primitive Markings portfolio are still evolving, but the project originated from the realisation that the urban landscape is littered with accidental artworks. A mark from a car tyre; a scrape in the paint. Some of these vestigial presences are ugly; some are unexpectedly elegant. All are overlooked by most who hurry by. This body of work is still very much in progress.
